A Toddler Named Cady

My friends Jackie & Liz bought a copy of my book & asked me to autograph it to a toddler who was named Cady, after Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Cady's mother, Kara Duros wrote in an email, that Cady "must know that she is her namesake because she was much more excited about a 'big person' book than most toddlers would be. She really wanted my mom to read and look at the pictures with her." Kara sent four photos that thrilled me in so many ways--as a writer, a grandmother, a passionate advocate of the importance & power of knowing women's stories. Thank you Kara and, with her permission, here's a photo of Cady and her grandmother Fran.
