I am preparing for an upcoming virtual conference—Moving Women's History Forward (flyer below). In the process, I discovered a marvelous innovative animated documentary series: UNLADYLIKE2020.
The one-hour PBS special, American Masters, UNLADYLIKE2020 was created by Charlotte Mangin for the centennial of women's suffrage. Twenty-six women are profiled in short episodes that are illustrated with wonderful archival photographs and narrated by various women such as Julianna Margulies with comments by experts including sculptor Alison Saar, who created, Swing Low, the Harriet Tubman memorial in New York City. (On my list of favorite landmarks to a historic woman.}
