In 1970 Dr. Ramey took on Dr. Edgar Berman when he said that women were unfit for high political office because of their “raging storm of monthly hormonal imbalances.” In a debate sponsored by the Women’s National Press Club, Berman opened by saying: “I really love women.” To which Ramey replied: “So did Henry VIII.”
