Like many of you

I am, like many of you, reeling from the results of yesterday's election. I stayed up until 2:30 a.m. incredulously watching TV, switching from one channel to the other, hoping to find something positive. Finally I went to bed only to wake up at 4 to get the updates. Throughout the day, family & friends checked in——a "sad" granddaughter, a graduate school classmate who texted "DISASTER" and a mid-40 year-old-man who texted: "Lots of pain. . . .We March onward. We can't quit," and a friend who had read my yesterday's "Optimistic" blog.

Am I still optimistic?

Yes, because nothing forward moving can be harvested from pessimism and despair!

So good cheer to us all and onward to caring for each other and our communities, country and beyond. Love, Penny
