Yesterday we–me, Linda, and our 9-year-old granddaughter–went back-to-school shopping and much to our surprise & delight discovered shirts honoring two women scientists! One for the pioneering molecular biologist Rosalind Franklin with a colorful Double Helix and text about her “key contributions to understanding the structure of DNA”.
The other is for Jane Goodall with the word “Gombe” (her camp where she observed chimpanzees for 50 years) and a image of a tree with two chimpanzee on the front. Sophie put it on & I quickly took a photo of the back:
“Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference. Jane Goodall”
